CURRENT PLAN OF WORK

Here I write down the most important things to think about during the following days to come (3 Fronts of research):

1)Get used with the Electronics of the Minerva Experiment: For that purpose I need to study in detail the  Article I talked about previously, very soon I will attach also a REPORT about the Electronics of DAQ (This to become a Shift-Expert).

2)Study the Information sent to us by Laza---->This is for my Analysis of Minerva-Minos matching of exiting muons. (Here There is plenty of Work, but also of Fun).

3)Finish the Study of all the COMSOL tutorials that came within the installed software in order to: i)Improve my expertise in using this software,
ii)Find an insteresting variant for my Thesis (I will send these to my advisor for their review and suggestions of a specific Task).

RESUMEN DE TEMAS TRABAJADOS EL CICLO PREVIO

Here I attach some presentations I lectured during the last cycle,

1)DLVO Theory: To study Stability of nanoparticles in a solution.

2)Nanomaterials for Fuel Cell (Relevant the Effect of Charge-Delocalization to use Carbon-nanomaterials as metal-free catalysts, because of Pt scarcity and high cost).

3)A Report about the 1st Chapters of Kenyi's Thesis (To get used some Basics about the Minerva Experiment).

4)2 Reports about Simulation of Fuel-Cells using Comsol, then I wrote also some Ideas about variants that can be made to Study other features, There is still plenty of Work to perform Here, so the Plan is to Finish all the Tutorials of the models that come with the Software in order to find an interesting
variant to work out.

***También he añadido el documento que sugirió Howard acerca de la electrónica del detector, aún me falta el Resumen & Ideas_Principales así como las ideas principales de lo que se vio en LABG (but Coming Soon):

Lecture about Modelling Fuel Cells

Yesterday I presented a lecture about modelling fuel cells using COMSOL,
there I summarized 2 papers in which a 2D model is performed to analyze
different features relevant for studying the performance of PEMFC under
different voltages.

Here I attach the 2 papers:

PAPER 1:

PAPER 2:

and here my presentation:

Right now I'm going to follow the following manual I downloaded from the Model
Gallery at the Comsol webpage to perform an analysis of a PEMFC in COMSOL by myself:

Lecture about batteries

On Thursday 12/6/14 I presented a short lecture about batteries and their simulation using COMSOL
for the course Topics of Physics A.

There I explained some features about these devices, the instructions for using the Batteries and Fuel Cells Module (their interfaces) and some equations which describe the physics inside a Li-Ion cell.

Now I'm going to find the way to simulate a fuel cell using COMSOL, which will be the topic for
my second lecture. That would be relevant also for my thesis.

Here I attach the slides I used for my lecture about batteries:

Moving Forward on Research

I have been doing research in batteries and their simulation for the course of Topics of Physics A
(lectured by Prof. M. Quintana). I have begun by reading some general features about batteries in order to be able to simulate them using Comsol.

After I have finished this topic of batteries and their simulation I will  be able to study the topic of
Fuel Cells and their simulation for my second lecture in that course.

By the way, I am aware that now I'm part of the Minerva Collaboration:

Thesis of Lic.

Yesterday I defended my Thesis of Lic. and fortunately it was awarded an excellence degree.

Now I can focus only on the Thesis for the master programme so I will begin by getting used to the usage of Comsol (fuel cells) and C++  object oriented (for using the Root software).

The Thesis (in pdf) can be visualized by clicking on the following link:
